here! Announces a Second Season of "The Lair."

Popular supernatural soap opera set to make its return.

LOS ANGELES, CA - January 15, 2008 – here!, America's premium gay television network is pleased to announce that it has ordered a second season of the dark, sexually-charged original series "The Lair." Production on the series, with director Fred Olen Ray, will consist of 9 additional episodes and is scheduled to commence in mid-February before it airs on the network in the fall of 2008.

Set in a small town, the series revolves around suspicions that arise when young men turn up dead with vicious, mysterious wounds on their necks. Determined to solve the crimes, a young journalist, Thom (David Moretti), discovers clues leading him to a private gentlemen's club called "The Lair," a lust-filled and erotically energized environment where patrons are able to fulfill their deepest and darkest desires. As he closes in on the truth, he becomes ensnared by a coven of vampires led by the enigmatic Damian (Peter Stickles of "Shortbus").

"Nothing speaks quite as well to a high quality sophisticated audience as a good gay vampire series. Our orthodontically-challenged hotties return with blood on their lips and a chip on their shoulder," said Paul Colichman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of here! Networks.

The second season will feature the return of popular cast members such as David Moretti, Colton Ford, Peter Stickles and Dylan Vox. In addition to a growing number of thrilling plot twists, sexy new cast members and guest stars, fans of the "The Lair" can expect to see many more supernatural elements and the arrival of a new character who is half-man, half-beast.

Recent and upcoming here! original films, series and specials include: "The DL Chronicles," an award-winning series focusing on the diverse stories of men of color who by consequence and by choice, live sexually duplicitous and secret lifestyles; "Dante's Cove," ranked "Best Soap of the Year" by The Advocate; the critically acclaimed "Shock To The System: A Donald Strachey Mystery," the second installment in the series of original films starring Chad Allen as a gay private investigator; the provocative six-part docu-series "Lesbian Sex and Sexuality," an unblinking look inside the world of lesbian culture from award-winning producer Katherine Linton; and the original film "Shelter," an indie romantic drama about love, family and trying to stay true to yourself.
