Not Just Another Gay Talk Show...
Josh Rosenzweig, host of the wildly popular “here! With Josh and Sara,” returns with his own original series. Filmed on location throughout New York City, Josh turns the traditional talk show format on its head. From celebrity interviews to premiere VIP events, Josh brings his own brand of humor and his intense love of New York City to the small screen, treating fans to a unique and entertaining spin on pop culture.
Josh is not only the host of the new here! TV talk show “Just Josh,” but he is also the Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing & Original Production for here! Networks. He began his career in the entertainment industry on the creative side as a film and theater director and video editor.
Josh grew up outside Chicago in the heart of ‘John Huges country’- a jack of all trades, Josh grew up splitting his time between performing and playing competitive tennis. Eventually the acting bug won out and he spent the better part of his four years in high school doing plays. He appeared as ‘Fagin’ in Oliver! as well as that nice Jewish boy who gets ‘hung up to dry’ in Godspell.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Josh started an LA-based theater company with a group of friends called STRIKE THEATRE- where he directed several plays, including an original musical called Greeting From Venice Beach – produced in a 6500sq foot warehouse recreating an exact replica of a section of the Venice Beach boardwalk.
Soon after, Josh joined forces with Keith Levy (aka Sherry Vine) and began directing plays for Vine’s New York-based theater company THEATRE COUTURE- Bad Weed ’73, ESP- Eyes of a Super Model Psychic, The Final Feast of Lucretzia Borgia, Kitty Killer, Charlie! Doll, and the Off Broadway hits Tell-Tale and Stephen King’s Carrie. With Theater Couture, he had the privilege of working with such renowned artists and performers as Candis Cayne, puppeteer extraordinaire Basil Twist, Misstress Formika, The Lady Bunny, Lina, Justin Bond and many more.
In addition to the plays, Josh simultaneously worked as a filmmaker, music video director and editor. Several of his films played in festivals around the globe. His first film SCREAM TEEN SCREAM, written by and starring Jackie Beat won the OUTfest Audience Award and subsequently was distributed theatrically by Strand Releasing. His second, CHARLIE! also has a successful festival life and was chosen by the Andy Warhol Museum to be part of its permanent collection. He recently completed work on his latest film, CHILDREN OF THE DUNE, a satirical look at gay parenting.
