Linda can weather the severe island storm brewing outside, but a much graver disaster looms inside the nuclear power plant where she works. The highly sophisticated computer system that runs the plant seems to have developed the capacity for reasoning—and malice. While outside the few islanders that remain struggle against the storm, inside the plant Linda and her colleague scramble to thwart the computer’s hostile machinations.
