Kim Poirier, "Roxy Hunter"
Kim has appeared in numerous national television shows such as DOC, Twice in a Lifetime and Largo Winch, as well as two seasons in Paradise Falls. Kim has also lent her considerable talents to quirky films such as Dawn of the Dead, Decoys, Decoys 2: The Last Seduction, American Psycho 2, and How I Married My High School Crush. As the on-air personality for the SPACE Channel, Kim hosted her own daily entertainment show, Hypaspace, and has conducted countless interviews with such stars as Gerard Butler, Elisha Cuthbert, George Miller, Carmen Elektra and others.
Roxy has asked herself many times: why doesn't she just leave Paradise Falls? My god, she'd love to!! The superficial reason is…she has no money. But the truth is, Roxy is burdened with the horrible fact that she actually cares for her mother. "She's painful, but she needs me." Oddly, in a situation where you feel you have nothing – sometimes, need is enough.
For the last year and a half, Roxy has been working at the Marina. She likes it there. It's an escape. Bea treats her well and she makes enough money to pay for her mother's medication which, however, she never takes. That said, lately her mother has been acting more erratically. Frances has been drinking more, much more.
Roxy feels utterly powerless. No matter what she does, she can't seem to control her world, her money, or her family. Roxy's darkest fear is that at the young age of 26, she has already seen her entire youth slip away before her eyes.
