cast & crew: paradise falls

Amanda Brugel, "Lynnie Jordan"
Amanda Brugel is currently starring in the new Canadian series MVP, and is new to the cast of Paradise Falls this season. She has had many successful film outings, including A Diva's Christmas Carol with Vanessa L. Williams, 10,000 Black Men Named George directed by Robert Townsend, Montreal indie coup Jack and Ella and Category Six opposite Academy Award winner Dianne West.

Lynnie met Tony Beroni eight years ago when she was working as a gopher at the New PF, the local TV station. Tony was an on-air performer and a lot of fun to be with. Lynnie was still living at home with her parents. In her house, it was understood that you couldn't move out until you were married. So what could she do…she married him.

Lynnie always assumed that Tony was gay. After all, he knows all the words to "South Pacific" and went to the sing-along "Sound of Music" as Mother Superior. Who knew he was actually straight?! Anyway, the marriage lasted three years. Naturally, when the subject of divorce came up, there were a lot of tears and hysterics – mostly from Tony. Lynnie had fallen in love with a TV producer working at a rival station in Fenmore, and that was going to be her escape.

She and Tony never divorced. He couldn't do it. She was his "first love" – which was odd since he was 29 when they first met. She stayed married to Tony for strictly financial reasons. He kept sending her money. True, the checks became less frequent when he left his on-air position, but the money was still appreciated
